Tom Asacker, author of A Clear Eye, once told me that we were living in a "permanent white water" environment of information. Small business owner's are being flooded with techology and promotional options it can leave them feeling overwhelmed. This week I had the privilege to learn from Newt Barrett, author of Get Contents, Get Customers as he met individually with Synergy Sessions members to teach them and me how to use content to attract the search engines to your website and how to build your credibility and trustworthiness as a company and individual brand with great content techniques. I learned that this blogging stuff is super important and that each of us is now our own PR (public relations) machine. Ignoring that fact will leave many small businesses shut out of the new social media environment and thus disconnected from a source of customer relations and development |
